Our season trailer

The Berliner Philharmoniker's 2025/26 season offers great music, exciting projects and surprising perspectives. Chief conductor Kirill Petrenko tackles Gustav Mahler’s Symphony of a Thousand – a work of monumental scale and extraordinary expressive power. Of equal significance is the orchestra's return to the Salzburg Easter Festival, where Kirill Petrenko will conduct Richard Wagner’s Rheingold, marking the beginning of a complete cycle of The Ring of the Nibelung.

What else can you expect? International guest conductors and soloists, strong debuts, festivals dedicated to Baroque and electronic music, and the thematic focus Kontrovers! – a project that builds a bridge between current cultural discourse and the classical concert tradition. Also new this season: a short subscription featuring four outstanding concerts.

As Artist in Residence, violinist Janine Jansen will appear both with the Berliner Philharmoniker and in chamber music settings. In addition, we dedicate a tribute to gambist and conductor Jordi Savall. The Open Day and a diverse education programme offer opportunities to experience the Berliner Philharmoniker up close and to discover the world of music in a wide range of different ways.
